Dean Capazorio

Dean's journey into insurance began through a meaningful connection, joining his father-in-law's brokerage in South Africa, where he discovered a genuine passion for the industry. Starting in a claims role, he quickly transitioned into commercial broking, specialising in the trucking and fuel sectors, and spent eight years building expertise and strong client relationships in the South African market.

After relocating to New Zealand with his wife, Dean embraced the opportunity to start fresh, completing his Level 5 qualification and transitioning into a Risk Advisor role. With over three years of experience in the New Zealand market, Dean is now firmly established as a trusted local broker in the Bay of Plenty.

Based in Papamoa, Tauranga, Dean brings genuine local knowledge to every client interaction, from understanding the region's unique underwriting risks to being available for a coffee whenever it's needed. He takes pride in getting in front of clients, learning about their businesses, identifying their challenges, and ensuring they have the right cover in place.

Outside of work, Dean is passionate about fitness, golf, padel, and football (the real kind), and finds that his active lifestyle gives him a natural connection with the many business owners in the Bay of Plenty who are also putting their health first. For Dean, the Bay of Plenty isn't just where he works, it's home.
